My name is Cindy Pellerin and I am the Principal at Alfred and Lyman Elementary Schools. Prior to becoming principal, I was the assistant principal at both schools for the three years. I taught at Windham Middle School for twelve years. I have been an eighth grade Math and Science teacher as well as the Team Leader and Curriculum Coordinator for the grade level. I have lived in Southern Maine for my entire life, and currently live in Buxton with my husband Rob. We have two hilarious kids that keep us busy. Mason who will be 11 in November and Sophia who is 8. I look forward to helping both schools grow and move forward with the proficiency based system as well as helping students to reach their educational goals.
Our goals for both Alfred and Lyman Elementary Schools are to provide a high quality and comprehensive, instructional program and to foster the mental and the emotional wellness of all students. Our plan is to attain our goals by creating and maintaining a caring school environment, teaching and modeling appropriate behaviors and problem solving skills and providing high quality academic instruction. We are very excited to be working towards a more Performance-Based approach to education. I am confident if we work together our students will be successful. I am looking forward to a very successful 2017-18 school year.
